Connected Car was the trigger for many service and product providers outside the classic automotive industry. After the networking of the individual mobility segments (car, bus, train, aircraft) with the smartphone, the next step is the networking of the individual segments with each other – and that across industry borders.
This new ecosystem automotive enables a cooperation between automobile manufacturers, telecommunications companies, insurance companies, public institutions, financial service providers, and software or hardware providers via digital platforms.
As a result, new markets, new technologies, new requirements and standards are increasingly emerging. At our congress, established stakeholders of the automotive ecosystem will provide insights and will discuss: Which mutual or opposite targets, expectations and challenges are there concerning products, applications, cyber security, launches and user benefits? What is the current state of affairs? What is the trend? What experience have been made and what will the future bring?
The lectures will be held in English

Certification, Policies & Guidelines for Wireless Communication – Thomas Hoell , 7layers
The integration of radio technology and the consequences for certification. The radio certification of a wireless product can be a challenge. We will guide you through this process and illustrate how to integrate wireless features in a way to reach a most efficient certification strategy. Regulatory approvals (CE, FCC, ISED and other national approvals) as well as certification regimes of industry interest groups (PTCRB, GCF, further network operator approvals) will be part of the presentation
11:00
Global Type Approval Certification – Torsten Lohoff, 7layers
Round 200 countries in the world have different requirements for radio certification: The presentation gives an introduction to general certification requirements and specific information on key markets.

Family and Variants Certification – Torsten Lohoff, 7layers
Complex products with many variants require a suitable and reasonable certification approach. The certification strategy is important in order to ensure compliance and to reduce risks. The presentation describes typical differences between product variants and based on that strategies how to certify radio devices.

LoRa & Sigfox Certification – Jerome Hamel and Ina Mitzich, 7layers
“See how 7layers is addressing the innovations of the Smart Worldto help creating trust and confidence in the Internet of Things, Smart Services and New Wireless Technologies “
Introduction and focus on two emerging LPWAN technologies: LoRa and Sigfox.
Overview of the technologies
How chipset/module manufacturer and end-device supplier can access to these 2 fast growing markets?
What are the LoRa Alliance and Sigfox certification requirements?
What is process to get the relevant certifications?
How can this be combined with regulatory requirements?

As a wireless expert, we are going to present to manufacturers and IoT service providers our
testing,
certification and
consulting services
for smart products and smart services.
Apart from testing services like radio tests, emc tests, OTA tests, conformance tests and interoperability tests, certifications like e.g. Bluetooth®, Sigfox, MirrorLink and also international type approvals are part of out service-portfolio.
But not only manufacturers and service providers will benefit from a visit at our stand. Also for test laboratories we have appropriate solutions: In the form of our “Interlab EVO test Management Systems” we developed test solutions which are easy to set up and control.”
