Saudi Arabia – No Homologation by CITC for Automotive Devices

The “Communications and Information Technology Commission” of Saudi Arabia (CITC) does not issue initial homologation for wireless automotive devices anymore. Still registered devices with valid certificates can be renewed as usual but CITC reserve the right to gradually remove such equipment from the approval list. Alternative radio approvals are not defined for now. For import, registration of devices by “Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization” (SASO) is still mandatory.
