7layers is ready for 5G – The Fifth Generation

Since 2012 standardization bodies have been working on the development of parameters for new radio devices and networking architectures for the LTE successor 5G. Being on the home stretch in this worldwide 5G-race, network operators and device manufacturers are pressing ahead with their developments and rollouts.

In Germany the requirements for the rollout of the 5G net are supposed to be finished by the end of 2020 latest. By means of a higher data communication rate, a reduced energy demand and a blanket coverage, 5G will offer new perspectives to device manufacturers and consumers. But also to other fields of life, like automotive, health, entertainment and IoT, 5G can offer new future-orientated services.
