GCF & CTIA collaborate on OTA

7Layers informs about combined activities of CTIA and GCF regarding OTA evaluation of wireless devices

7Layers would like to let you know that the Global Certification Forum (GCF) and CTIA – The Wireless Association® have come to an agreement regarding the evaluation process of the OTA performance of wireless devices.

The agreement allows GCF to incorporate the CTIA OTA test plan into its performance measurement process.

The GCF’s performance measurement program is an optional scheme, complementing GCF certification. By collaborating on this evaluation process, which establishes the over-the-air performance of a wireless device, and how well it transmits and receives a signal, the organizations are establishing a single benchmark, thus eliminating the duplication of testing.

7Layers, a highly experienced CATL (CTIA authorized test laboratory) understands the procedures for GCF, CTIA and PTCRB approvals in detail and offers OTA testing in its state-of-the-art testing facilities. Turn to us for expert advice on the most efficient evaluation process for your wireless device.
