HSUPA Test Services now coming to Americas
7 layers has upgraded its Irvine test and service center with HSUPA test capabilities from Rohde & Schwarz. By offering HSUPA services now both in Germany and also in the USA clients can benefit from our experience and enjoy the convenience of local service at the same time.

With the deployment of commercial WiMAX services based on IEEE 802.16e planned for 2008, the demand for WiMAX test services is greater than ever. 7 layers has now added WiMAX to its portfolio of services. HSUPA is beginning to gain momentum!
7 layers is the first 3rd party telecommunications test laboratory worldwide, offering HSUPA testing for both protocol and RF testing. The company supports its customers in receiving approvals to enter the global market with HSUPA products. Mid-August one of the 7 layers’ customers received the first ever FCC approval for a HSUPA data card.

Testing and Certification of Java based mobile phones
now available at 7 layers. 99% of all new mobile devices are capable
to execute Java applications. In order to guarantee end-user
satisfaction it is essential to verify the correct implementation of
Java ME components on these mobiles. Based on the test environment and
expertise provided by Communology, 7 layers is one of the first to have
implemented Java engineering and test services capable of verifying the
most important Java ME functions.

7 layers is the first test laboratory offering the complete test package - necessary for USAT
(USIM Application Toolkit) testing. This is important for manufacturers, who are preparing to offer end user products or modules with an integrated USIM Application Toolkit. They can now benefit from the availability of early conformance testing at 7 layers, which corresponds to the 3GPP Test Specification 31.124.

7 layers introduces the new InterLab EDR Test Solution
It supports all RF tests for Enhanced Data Rate (EDR) radios defined by
the Bluetooth Specification Version 2.0 + EDR. The InterLab EDR Test
Solution provides automated configuration, control and execution of the
EDR RF test cases. Through integration of an EDR signaling unit and
software, it provides automated configuration, control and execution of
the EDR RF test cases in a fast and reliable fashion.
