Interoperability Testing
The success of Bluetooth enabled devices depends to a large extent on their technical interoperability as well as their straightforward installation.
But how does one test such capabilities and against which other products?
Some manufacturers have already created their own interoperability test plans. And they have built up product libraries with other Bluetooth enabled devices. All this in order to check installation processes and interoperability. A time and cost intensive business! Using the 7 layers Bluetooth interoperability test services might well be the more efficient and cost effective solution for you!
Bluetooth Interoperability Test Plans at 7 layers
7 layers has years of expertise and insight into the Bluetooth wireless technology. We played a major role in developing the original Bluetooth test specifications. Over the years our engineers and BQE's have tested and listed hundreds of products. Based on this expertise we can help you decide how best to test the interoperability and functionality of your product. We also recommend against which products you should test. It is of course also possible to use our standard interoperability test plans.
Interoperability test plans at 7 layers can cover just the most important features, so called “quick-checks” or they can extend to a thorough usability analysis, taking relevant functionalities into account, such as:
▬ Connection procedures
▬ Call handling
▬ Audio/ video streaming
▬ Data transfer/ synchronization
▬ Voice recognition
▬ Usability
▬ Key performance indicators
Bluetooth enabled device library
Due to the large number of Bluetooth enabled wireless devices on the market, it is unfortunately not feasible to have every product available, against which you may want to test your product. We have however a device library of those mobile phones available that cover the most important product features. This library gets extended based on your specific requirements.
