 1. PTCRB User Account set-up
The PTCRB Certification process is administered by CTIA via the
PTCRB
website. If you do not have a PTCRB account, you must go to the PTCRB
website
www.ptcrb.com.Here you select the “New User Registration” tab
and complete the registration process.
Once you receive your Username and
Password from PTCRB, you must send an email to
certification@ctia.org
requesting access to the PTCRB certification database.
After your PTCRB account access
privileges have been set-up,
you can initiate the PTCRB certification
request via the PTCRB certification database. You will be prompted to
enter your company / product information and here you can select
“7
layers” as your primary test laboratory.
2. Laboratory acceptance of
certification testing request

Laboratory Notification
The laboratory will receive a certification testing request via
PTCRB's online
certification database at
www.ptcrb.com. An email
notification will be sent to the
laboratory's designated point(s) of
contact when a request has been submitted. The
laboratory will log
into the database to review and accept/reject the request.

Laboratory Acceptance
Certification testing can begin only after the laboratory has accepted
the request via the online database.
3. 7 layers pre-requisites to begin
testing

Receipt of Official PTCRB
Certification Request
▬
Signed Service Agreement and
Received Purchase Order
▬
Received Samples
4. 7 layers test project
administration
▬
7 layers runs test project within
the agreed time frame
▬
After successfully passing all
required tests 7 layers uploads test report to PTCRB
5. Review by CTIA
The test report will be reviewed for approval by the CTIA
6. Confirmation and Certification
Upon receipt of the final PTCRB Certification Test Report,
CTIA will confirm within 10 business days that the device meets with the PTCRB requirements.
PTCRB will then provide the manufacturer with the final product certification documents.

Pre-Condition for Certification:
CTIA will invoice the manufacturer
a
"Certification Administrator Fee" of $3,125.00 (U.S.) for a product
integration certification request ($3,750 if incorporating Wi-Fi).
Payment of the Certification fee is a requirement for Certification.
