HSUPA is beginning to gain momentum!
7 layers is the first 3rd party telecommunications test laboratory
worldwide, offering HSUPA testing for both protocol and RF testing. The company
supports its customers in receiving approvals to enter the global market with
HSUPA products. Mid-August one of the 7 layers’ customers received the first
ever FCC approval for a HSUPA data card.

Testing and Certification of Java based mobile phones

test package - necessary for USAT
(USIM Application Toolkit) testing. This is important for manufacturers, who are
preparing to offer end user products or modules with an integrated USIM
Application Toolkit. They can now benefit from the availability of early
conformance testing at 7 layers, which corresponds to the 3GPP Test
Specification 31.124.

It supports all RF tests for Enhanced Data Rate (EDR) radios defined by the
Bluetooth®
Specification Version 2.0 + EDR. The InterLab EDR Test Solution provides
automated configuration, control and execution of the EDR RF test cases. Through
integration of an EDR signaling unit and software, it provides automated
configuration, control and execution of the EDR RF test cases in a fast and
reliable fashion.

7 layers US - now in new and larger facilities!
Following the continuously growing demand for the 7 layers test and
development services in the USA, it became necessary to find better and larger
facilities, offering a more efficient work environment for our clients and our
personnel. The new building, close to the previous facilities, will house all
our laboratories and offices in one. Newly designed and spacious client rooms
were created with customer privacy in mind.

joint venture in UK to SGS UK Limited
TTP Communications plc and 7 layers AG today announce they have entered into a
definitive agreement regarding the sale of their joint venture, 7 layers UK
Limited, to SGS UK Limited ('SGS'). The transaction comprising the sale of the
issued share capital of 7 layers UK Limited is an all cash transaction valued at
£10.5m plus £0.9m net cash. The proceeds will be divided equally between TTP
Communications plc and 7 layers AG. 7 layers UK is a test and certification
business offering third-party test services for the designers and manufacturers
of GSM, GPRS and 3G products and modules.

7 layers to use Aeroflex’s 6401 AIME/CT with ISHO platform for 3G handset
testing.
Aeroflex and 7 layers have announced a partnership on 3G mobile handset

will use Aeroflex’s 6401 AIME/CT conformance system complete with inter-system
