In order to support the development of the wireless ad hoc network technology and appropriate applications, 7 layers has spun off further developments into a subsidiary company called "Wireless iP".

Wireless iP is going to develop a general network concept, define the necessary specifications and help build prototypes. Support for these tasks will come from universities and other partners interested in the project.
